Latent Semantic Indexing for Top Search Engine Ranking
Latent Semantic Indexing is all the talk now among Webmasters trying to keep up with the ever-changing Google indexing for sites.

First of all what is Latent Semantic Indexing? Well it is a complex mathematical formula, but it is being used by search engines to help them determine what is the theme of the site.

It is now known that Google especially are giving more importance to websites that are closely themed, and this can be very effective for achieving a good position in search engine results.

Google when it visits a web page will not only look at the keywords included on a page, but will look at all the content to see the relevance of the content to the keywords.

This will help search engines to better understand the overall theme of the page.

Assuming you have done some keyword research using one of the keyword tools available, I personally recommend Wordtracker as I find the results more reliable. What is the next step to make website pages more closely themed?

The answer is to try to use as many of the results returned from the keyword tool in your content. This of course needs to be done so that the pages reads well of course.

Using this method, search engines are in no doubt as to the theme of the web page.

Google uses LSI to associate words for classifying pages, as opposed to depending only on the keywords of the past.

Another use of latent semantic indexing is in helping Google in assessing the write type of adsense ads to display on web pages.

To see what words Google thinks are related to a keyword for example, just do a search for any word with the ~ tilde key first. It is possible to get a list from Google of related keywords.

Use their keyword tool, it may provide new words that haven't been returned by the keyword tool you have used.

A list of results will be returned that Google say are related to your keyword.

Now to get top positions in search engines, it will be important to consider latent semantic indexing because of the close theming of pages will result in higher rankings in search engines.

There is nothing complicated with using latent semantic indexing for your web pages, it is a question of having closely themed sites with content that is related to one theme, so there can be no doubt as to the pages topic.

Another important point to consider is to make sure that you have the anchor text (the words in the hyper links) should vary. It is a good idea to use different words related to your main keyword.

Do not have all the incoming links pointing to one page. By varying the anchor text this will not only get more pages indexed, but will also help with the theming of websites.

For example if your main keyword is seo, you could use anchor text like search engine, search engines, search engine optimization.

A Review Of Keyword Elite
As you may or may not know, there are a whole lot of keyword research tools on the market today. As with any other market that has a lot of players, some of them are good and some of them are not so good (even bad!). In 2006, a fairly well known Internet Marketer named Brad Callen put forth yet another keyword research tool, promising to blow away the competition. Following in the footsteps of his wildly successful SEO Elite, Brad released Keyword Elite in March.
So does Keyword Elite deliver? Does it really "blow away the competition"? I'm not one for hype, so admittedly I'm hesitant to use phrases like that. And I won't here. But I'll just say that, in summary, Keyword Elite is one of the top if not the number one keyword research tool on the market today. Why do I say that? Keep on reading.
First of all, Keyword Elite is broad in scope. You can do so many things with it. It will be difficult for me to list every feature I like, but I want to cover what I think are the most important features of this program. First of all, Keyword Elite does one thing that no other keyword research tool does, and it does it well. Keyword Elite actually finds related words for you when you're building a keyword list. And I don't mean vertically related words but horizontally related. Here's what I mean:
If you enter "turkey" as your base word, most keyword tools will output words like "turkey soup" or "butterball turkey". But if you enter "turkey" as your base word with Keyword Elite, you're bound to not only get "turkey soup", but also "thanksgiving" and "wiseguy". You see, in addition to the traditional vertical approach, Keyword Elite also attempts to gather a keyword list by trying to guess the meaning of the word (the horizontal approach). This is huge, and will increase the size of your keyword lists immensely! Of course this latent semantic technology isn't perfect, but as the search engines also start to employ this more and more, it helps to be using a keyword tool ahead of the curve.
I also can't go much longer without talking about the miracle advantages Keyword Elite has for an AdWords advertiser. You can easily interface with AdWords from within the Keyword Elite interface itself, dumping hundreds of keywords in an ad group with the click of a button. Are you serious? This tool is going to save AdWords advertisers a whole lot of time. A ton of time. Keyword Elite also allows you to conduct a search against Google for a given keyword, and it will output the CPC (cost per click) averages for that keyword, as well as display the number of campaigns Google currently has running for that keyword! Hello! Can you say market intelligence?
The other awesome feature for AdWords advertisers is the fifth module to the program, which is all about spying on other advertisers. Sounds good, doesn't it? It is. The idea here is that you take your massive keyword list (which you built using the other Keyword Elite modules!), load it into module 5, tell the program which domain you want to spy on, and let it churn. And then you wait. When it's done, you'll have a smaller subset list of the keywords that advertisers of that domain are actually bidding on. You can even schedule this feature to run every day, and then go back and compare the results over a period of several weeks. If the same advertisers keep showing up day after day and week after week, then you can be sure their ad is bringing in the money. This is just an awesome feature that is really giving AdWords advertisers an almost unfair advantage. Your competitors are going to need a miracle. Seriously.
There are loads of other features in this mammoth tool which I'm not going to get to here, but the bottom line is that if you want a professional keyword research tool and don't feel like spending money continually on other subscription based tools, stop wasting time and go buy Keyword Elite now. You won't regret it.

New Residents at the Park and a little bit about Adsense
There are some new residents that need to be welcomed into the Blog Park. One is about a City that says it is all about Golden Friendship and the other one is all about the scams and the scamming on the Internet. You may have noticed that I have removed the Adsense code that serves up the Adsense ads and the Google search bar from this site. Google Adsense has removed me from the list of publishers for violations of the TOA. I am not saying they did so unfairly and unjustly. That is not important or even remotely relevant. I am sure that I am not the first one and surely I will not be the last to be removed or as they say, banned. It is no big deal as my adventures into the Adsense Kingdom was a lark, an experiment which although very educational, was very much unprofitable financially and unrewarding psychologically.
The big hype about Adsense Wealth is, as far as I have discovered, mostly hype. It is a big way for others who came before and have learned how difficult it is to make money on Adsense, to make money from newbies who know no better. Hard as it may sound, there is a ring of truth to it as I have experienced first hand the hard sell, and the force-feeding of Adsense into all who would give it the time of day. Well, it is another day and another lesson has been learned.
I am sure there are people who make a lot of money on Adsense but it seems to me that the people who rake in the big bucks have to employ Black Hat methods to do it. And Adsense is so prone to click fraud and all other forms of fraud that Google has to scramble all over the place to prevent click fraud and other forms of fraud that are far worse than a few clicks.
This appears to me very self-evident that Adsense has some really serious flaws which Google needs to address. And I am not talking about Google becoming an even more efficient technological policeman and detective to thwart those that exploit the holes in the Search Engine's Algorithm. If something can be learned, it is that where there is money to be made, there you will always find people devising ingenious ways to get at that money my means that are not intended to be used.
I am sure that you have heard or seen the catch phrase, "Content is king!" and very often this is used in a sales page where in the same breath it tries to sell you a thingy or other that will defeat that catch phase and render it inutile and vapid and weak by rewording your content and adding a few more keywords to supposedly make your articles more valuable and palatable to the search engines. This is utterly ridiculous but such is the state of affairs which Adsense has created. Feed the robots with nonsense and they will love you. Is this the future of technology? I can remember Shakespeare saying, "it is like a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".
Google Adsense has problems which are far worse than a few illegal clicks.
